AUTOMATIC HOME COMPOST ROBOT – MY PICTO-GREEN-BUDDY
Idea & Motive:
I would like to help in solving our world problems and contribute towards sustainable development. One of the main problems in the world continues to be the amount of waste created which in turn occupies landfills and causes emission of poisonous greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. I truly believe that using AI & ML , most of the problems in the world can be solved. Innovation is the key to the growth of the country and in turn to the entire world.
Most of the waste related problems can be solved by composting. But many of us still do not compost. Composting still remains a complicated process for many of us. My mom is a plant lover and she composts our kitchen waste everyday. I learnt to compost from her. I thought – if everyone could have a compost robot, it will help them easily compost their kitchen waste which in turn will contribute to the betterment of the society.
The idea is to create affordable automatic compost robots developed using pictoblox.
The project which I demo here is a prototype and can be enhanced to perform as a fully developed automatic compost robot using pictoblox.
Project :
Scan your waste using pictoblox.
This detects and tells whether the waste can be composted or not.
Once it allows to compost, the green led glows and the main lid opens.
User can enter their waste into the container.
Picto green buddy automatically covers the waste with a layer of soil.
If the waste cannot be composted, the lid remains closed and the red led glows.
