Helmet Detector

From the above enlightening quote we can realise the importance of wearing helmet. Starting from the youngsters motorbikes are also used by middle aged people. Motorbikes is a vehicle which reaches the common people because it is available at cheaper rate compared to other vehicles.
One of the big challenges facing by our transport system is that people don’t obey traffic rules [like wearing helmet]. So here we have a solution for it. All the cars that are being manufactured now have a fuel detection system and our project aims to bring a similar helmet detection system inside the bike. As in known, that helmet is an important safety equipment for motorcyclists, however many riders may not use it. Motorcycles accidents have rapidly growing throughout the years in many countries. Motorcycles are more dangerous than a car. According to DNIT, a total of 34635 motorcycle were involved in accident in Brazil in 2011, and the youngsters are mostly found in death rate in motorcycle accidents due to their inexperience, driving without helmet etc…
If passengers do not wear helmet it can be detected by the Helmet detector. In our project our own vehicle will detect whether we have wore helmet or not. This can be converted with better facilities.That is ,it can be used as a public helmet detector, we can fix this in streets which can detect the passengers who drives without helmet and capture their vehicle’s number plate. This will be useful for traffic police.

- People can improve the habit of wearing helmet
- Reminder to wear helmet.
- Promotes wearing helmet and thus reduces accidents.
- It will be useful for traffic police.
