My project: The Prevent~O~Corona 2000

Theme: COVID19

Introduction:

My project is a hardware project which will be very useful in schools and colleges and other public places which are recently re-opening after lockdown. Most of the people or students find it very difficult to prevent themselves from this deadly virus.  Hence, this problem is a big issue for the public management due to the strict rules of the government. I am so confident that this project created by me will solve this problem. The three ways to prevent Corona virus follow:

  1. Cover your nose and mouth with the mask or cloth.
  2. Sanitize your hands
  3. Checking the temperature and take the decisions according to the same.

What will it do?

  1. It will check whether the person standing in front of it is wearing the mask or not.
  2. It sprays sanitizer on the hands of the person standing in front of it.
  3. It will check the body temperature of the person with contact.

Structure and Composition:

The components used by me in this project are:

S No. Name Quantity Role
1 Arduino UNO 1 Motherboard
2 IR Sensor 1 Detecting the hand
3 SG 90 1 Spraying the sanitizer
4 LM35 1 Detecting the temperature

How does it work?

When a person approaches to this, it will first detect whether that particular person is wearing a mask or not using a camera. If he/she is wearing a mask, then it will continue with the process. But if he/she is not wearing a mask, it will not continue. Next, it will sanitize the hands of the person. The angular motion of servo motor will be converted into linear motion, pushing the sanitizer. The person will be given 10 seconds to spread the sanitizer and move to the temperature detection. That’s when my LM35 comes into action; it detects the temperature of the thing touching it. After the results come out, it will report according to the temperature being more than or less than 330C.

What I learned?

I learned a lot of things in programming with Arduino this month. I learned the making of breadboard circuits. I learned the basic working of my motors and sensors and a lot more.
It truly was a wonderful experience.
